Obverse: from above the coat of arms of the USSR with 15 turns of ribbon, to the left of it the letters "SS", right "SR", below the double line, under it the designation of the value of the coin number "100" and below the word "Rubles".
Reverse: at the top along the cant the words "Games XXII OLYMPIADS", below the left the year of issue of the coin "1978" and the emblem of the XXII Olympic Games, in the middle of the structure of the Lenin Stadium (Luzhniki), under the stadium on the right the monogram of the mint "LMD", below at the edge of the coin separated by a dot the word "MOSCOW" and the year of the XXII Olympiad "1980".
