Obverse: above the coat of arms of the USSR with 15 turns of ribbon, to the left of it the letters "SS", right "SR", below the double line, under it the denomination of the value of the coin number "100" and below the word "RUBLEY".
Reverse: the words "Games of the XXII Olympiad" at the top along the cant, in the middle of the cycle track in Krylatskoe, below the mint monogram "LMD", to the right the year of issue "1979", below the edge of the coin separated by a dot the word "MOSCOW" and the year of the XXII Olympiad "1980".
Gurt: rubbery (240 riffles).
